Is there a way to back up my Online Favourites to my PC?
We are planning to enable you to back up your Online Favourites bookmarks to an HTML file, which you will be able to import into Netscape Communicator and or Microsoft Explorer.
I have forgotten my Username/ Password.
If you have forgotten your password we can either remind you what it is or we can inform you by email. Click on the "Forgotten password?" text at the bottom of the Log In section on the right of your screen. If you have forgotten your Username please send an email to service@onlinefavourites.com and let us know your name, password and usual email address and we will let you know by return.
I am having difficulty logging in. My Username and Password don't seem to work.
Your Username and Password are both case sensitive and limited to 10 characters each. If you have used more than 10 characters try typing just the first 10 characters. E.G. "supercharger" becomes "supercharg."
When I register and then click 'Submit', the Registration screen reappears and the password I have chosen is blank.
Make sure that you a clicking 'Submit' at the bottom of the Registration Page and not underneath the Login section on the right of your screen.
Can I change my Person Profile information?
You can change your Personal Profile information by updating the Profile Page which you can get to by selecting Person Profile from the applet Menu.
Do you have other services planned?
Yes. We believe that there is much we can do to help you manage your bookmarks better and get more from the internet. We are working on it, so watch this space.

Online Favourites is recommended for use with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 and above and Netscape Communicator version 4.6 and above.
What is an applet?
An applet is a program written in Java, which transfers to your computer and runs within the browser. It is capable of delivering fully dynamic and interactive content. Java is an object-oriented programming language developed by Sun Microsystems Inc.
I am having difficulty distinguishing which items I have highlighted in the applet.
You can change the colour of items (Bookmarks or Folders) you have selected by clicking your preferred choice from the colours shown at the bottom of the Person Profile screen. The default colour is shown in the top left but people with colour blindness may find it easier to distinguish some of the other colours.
Is there a 'light' or 'read only' version of the applet?
Yes, it is possible to download your Online Favourites in 'Read Only' mode. You can do this by prefixing your Password with the letters 'RO' when you log in. In this mode your bookmarks can be downloaded incrementally (if you have selected Incremental in the Download Option in Person Profile) which means they will download only once you have selected the Folder containing them This makes the initial download quicker. If you decide you would like to edit your Online Favourites having logged in in Read Only format then you can select the Editor function in the applet menu to do so.
What does the Download Option do?
Download Option is selected at Registration or later when you modify your Person Profile. The options are Incremental and All At Once. Incremental is used when you acess your Online Favourites in Read Only format and means that your bookmarks only download once the Folder containing them has been selected. This speeds up the download process and is useful for people who have many thousands of bookmarks.
